Poll: 88% of Voters in Florida Support Legalizing Medical Cannabis

A new Quinnipiac University poll released today has found thatflorida an overwhelming majority of Florida voters are in support of legalizing medical cannabis, and a majority also supports the legalization of recreational cannabis.

According to the poll, an astonishing 88% of Florida voters favor medical cannabis being legalized, with just 10% opposed to the move. The poll results come with the general election in November being just around the corner, where Florida voters will have the opportunity to vote on Amendment 2, an initiative to legalize the possession, use and state-licensed distribution and cultivation of medical cannabis.

New Poll: 90% of Connecticut Voters Support Legal Medical Cannabis

Quinnipiac University poll released today has found that a drastic majority of Connecticut voters support the legalization of medical cannabis. According to the poll, 90% of voters in Connecticut support making medical cannabis legal, with just 9% opposed. Among voters aged 18 to 29, a mind-boggling 99% support the move towards legal medical cannabis.

88% of Florida Voters Support Legalizing Medical Cannabis, 53% Support Recreational Legalization

A new Quinnipiac University poll has found that an overwhelming majority of Florida voters support the legalization of medical cannabis,voteflorida with a majority also being in support of legalizing recreational cannabis.

According to the poll, 88% of Florida voters support allowing adults to legally use medical cannabis if a doctor prescribes it, with just 10% opposed. Support was strong among all age groups, including being supported by 84% of those 65 and older.

A majority of Florida voters were also found to be in support of legalizing cannabis for recreational purposes, 53% to 42%.

81% in Iowa Support Legalizing Medical Cannabis, New Poll Finds

A Quinnipiac University poll released today has found that an overwhelming majority of those in Iowa support legalizing medical cannabisiowabud, 81% to 17%, including 68% of all age groups and political parties.

According to the poll, Democrats support legalizing cannabis for medical purposes at a rate of 89% to 10% Independents support is at 82% to 15%. Republican support was at 68%, compared to 29% who are opposed.

Poll: 87% in Ohio Support Legalizing Medical Cannabis

A new Quinnipiac University poll has found that 87% of those in Ohio support the legalization of medical cannabis, with only 11% opposed. The poll also found a majority of the state – 51% to 44% – to be in support of legalizing recreational cannabis.

“Ohioans’ views of marijuana are complicated. Twice as many voters think alcohol is more dangerous than marijuana, and about half the state’s voters think the two are equally harmful,” said Peter Brown, Assistant Director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.

New Poll: Support for Cannabis Legalization Continues to Grow in Colorado

A new poll released today from Quinnipiac University has found that Coloradans continue to support legalization – and that support is only growing.stock4

The poll surveyed 1,139 registers Colorado voters, and found that a majority of respondents were generally in favor of cannabis legalization, and specifically Amendment 64 (A64 was the constitutional amendment passed in 2012 that legalized recreational cannabis in the State of Colorado). Of those surveyed, 58% said they support the legalization of cannabis – up from 54% when Quinnipiac conducted a survey asking the same question in August of last year.

New Poll Finds 82% in Florida Support Medical Cannabis Legalization

A new poll conducted by the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute has found that a huge majority of Floridians are in support of medical cannabis legalization.

According to the poll,medcan 82% of Florida residents favor the legalization of cannabis for medicinal purposes (including 70% of Republicans), with just 16% opposed to such a move. These numbers are exciting and promising, especially as the group United for Care continues to work on putting a medical cannabis initiative on next year’s ballot; the group has collected over 200,000 signatures thus far.

New Poll: Majority of Colorado Residents Remain in Support of Legalized Cannabis

A new Quinnipiac University poll has found that a majority of Colorado residents remain in support of the state’s recently-approved constitutional amendmentsaved11 which legalized cannabis for adults. 54% are in favor of the new law, with 41% being in opposition; these numbers mirror results from last November’s election.

The poll also asked participants whether or not they thought the new law would “create drug abuse problems”, and found that a majority – 55% to 42% – believe that it won’t. It was also found that 51% of the state’s residents have consumed cannabis, and 15% plan to consume it once recreational sales begin next year.
