63% of Americans aged 18 and older are in support of legalizing cannabis for all uses. This is according to latest American Values Survey conducted by the Public Religion Research Institute.
According to the poll, just 36% of those in the United States who are 18 and older oppose legalizing cannabis. Only 1% remain undecided.
The 63% in support of legalization marks a massive 30% increase from just two years ago in 2014, and marks the highest level of support ever recorded by the Institute.
The results are similar to a Gallup poll released last month which found 60% of those in the U.S. to be in support of legalizing cannabis.
The American Values Survey has a margin or error of +/- 2.8 percentage points.
