North Carolina Governor to Sign Medical Cannabis Bill Into Law
North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory has announced that he will sign into law a proposal to legalize cannabis oil for medical purpose
. The bill, which will make North Carolina the 31st state to legalize at least some form of medical cannabis, was approved unanimously by the state’s Senate yesterday followed by an 112 to 2 vote in the House.
The proposal – House Bill 1220 – will allow for the possession of cannabis extracts for those with seizure disorders who receive a recommendation from a neurologist and a registration card from the state’s Department of Health. Neurologists will be authorized to dispense the medicine to patients, and colleges will be authorized (and encouraged) to study the cannabis compound cannabidiol in treating epilepsy.
House Bill 1220 will take effect by October 1st.

I lived in N.C. from 2000-2003…..my sister still lives there…..since you have passed this bill in your great state I plan on moving back this year now…….I had planned to move back in few years anyway but now with medical issues im making a faster move…..thank you alot of states including WV where I now live refuse to pass the medical for its people……..older politicians here in WV need to be educated on this subject

crystal they are not putting everything on here about the North Carolina cannabis oil legalization they are leaving it for the parents to get the oil to their children. basically they want you to break the law if you’re wanting the oil for your children for epilepsy. I think its wrong they should be the ones to supply oil not the parents. we have enough to deal with with her children having seizures. I just thought that I would let you know more about this because they’re not telling everything. I watched the guys Machr in North Carolina for the right for medical cannabis. they wanted the Bill 1116 to the passed but 1220 got passed insteadyou can find these videos on montYouTube they were just put up this month.

Finally people need to realize on best seizure & mood disorders among many other diganosis but anything to give people who truely need it some releif that is easily grown is natural , etc. Theres variety of pros and cons but the fact it does help even the edibles u dont get “high” but helps whichever ailment prescribed 4.
