Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg Team Up for New VH1 Show
With an increased acceptance of cannabis, comes an increased acceptance of Snoop Dogg.
Recently we reported that MTV will be premiering a scripted comedy next month created by Snoop Dogg that revolves around a female-run medical cannabis delivery company (the show is called Mary + Jane). Now, VH1 has announced a new show that will actually star Snoop Dogg, and he will be paired with co-host Martha Stewart.
The unscripted show will be called Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party, and will focus on the pair hosting a celebrity dinner party each week.
“At our dinner party, we will exemplify America’s fascination with food, entertaining and celebrity,” says Stewart. “‘Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party’ will redesign the traditional food competition shows in a new, different and very funny way”, she says.
“My homegirl, Martha and I have a special bond that goes back”, says Snoop Dogg (real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr.). “We’re gonna be cooking, drinking and having a good time with our exclusive friends. Can’t wait for you to see how we roll together!”
Although the combo of the two could be considered an “odd” pairing, the two have worked together in the past, with Snoop appearing on Stewart’s talk show on multiple occasions; they also both appeared in Comedy Central’s roast of Justin Beiber, and ABC’s 100,000 Pyramid.
Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party will premier this fall.
