Arizona Pharmacists Plan Study On Dosage Rates for Medical Marijuana Edibles

The Coconino County Health Department in Arizona is joining a group of pharmacists in hopes of providing patients with dosing guidelines for cannabis medicated foods and drinks.
The group plans to start a study soon with the University of Arizona’s College of Pharmacy in an attempt to examine dosing guidelines, as well as guidelines for keeping contaminants out of such foods and drinks.
The study can now be legally conducted in the state, after Governor Jan Brewer signed legislation this week allowing medical marijuana to be possessed and researched on college campuses.
The Arizona Department of Health Services has been offering counties research funding in an attempt to set recommendations on the use of medical marijuana.
