New Jersey Governor Signs Bill Adding PTSD as Qualifying Medical Cannabis Condition

ptsdNew Jersey Governor Chris Christie has signed into law Assembly Bill 457 to allow those with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) to use medical cannabis. The signing comes roughly a month and a half after the measure was given approval by the state’s legislature with a combined 85 to 22 vote.

Under the new law – which took effect immediately after Christie’s signature – those with PTSD are allowed to legally purchase, possess and use cannabis for medical purposes, given they receive a recommendation from a physician and become registered with the state.
