Researchers looked at the impact of phytocannabinoids (plant-derived cannabinoids, rather than synthetic counterparts) on epigenetic regulation of skin differentiation genes.

The study found that both cannabidiol (CBD) and cannabigerol (CBG), “significantly reduced the expression of all genes tested via increased DNA methylation for keratin 10 gene”.

A new study published in the journal Environmental Toxicology and Pharmacology has found that cannabidiol – a compound of cannabis – may protect1111 the heart from the dangerous side effects associated with the popular cancer drug doxorubicin.

For the study, the “potential protective effect of cannabidiol, the major non-psychotropic Cannabis constituent, was investigated against doxorubicin cardiotoxicity in rats.”
