  • 2 tablespoons flour (for cream cheese mixture)
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened preferred)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, chopped

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
  2. Spread butter on the bottom of a 9×9 baking pan.
  3. Prepare brownie batter: Whisk 1 cup flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl. Set aside.

  9. Add 1/4 cup sugar, 1 egg and 2 tablespoons flour; whisk until well combined.
  10. Spoon brownie batter and cream cheese mixture into the pan, alternating each. Then swirl both mixtures using a butter knife to make a swirled or marbled pattern.
