Poll: Majority of Oregon Voters Support Measure 91 to Legalize Cannabis
A new OPB/Fox 12 poll released this week has found that a majority of Oregon voters support Measure 91, an initiative to legalize cannabis which will be voted on in less than 20 days.
According to the poll, 52% said they would vote in favor of Measure 91 if the election were held today, with just 41% saying they’d vote against the proposal. The actual election is held on November 4th.
If approved into law, Measure 91 would legalize the possession of up to eight ounces of cannabis for those 21 and older, as well as the private cultivation of up to four plants. State-licensed cannabis retail outlets will also be legalized and regulated by the Oregon Liquor Commission.
The poll, though commissioned by OPB News and Fox 12, was conducted by DHM Research.
