New Study: THC Skin Cream Can Combat Allergies
A new study being published the journal Allergy has found that THC skin cream can combat certain allergies, in part because it has anti-inflammatory capabilities.
According to researchers, “Topical THC application effectively decreased contact allergic ear swelling and myeloid immune cell infiltration not only in wild-type but also in CB1/2 receptor-deficient mice”.
For the study – which was funded by the German Research Council and the University of Bonn’s Medical Faculty – researchers “evaluated the impact of topically applied THC on DNFB-mediated allergic contact dermatitis in wild-type and CB1/2 receptor-deficient mice”. Researchers conclude:
Topically applied THC can effectively attenuate contact allergic inflammation by decreasing keratinocyte-derived pro-inflammatory mediators that orchestrate myeloid immune cell infiltration independent of CB1/2 receptors. This has important implications for the future development of strategies to harness cannabinoids for the treatment of inflammatory skin diseases.
Although the study was conducted on mice, Thomas Tüting, MD – one of the researchers for the study – tells us that he believes the results would be similar if the subjects were human.
As with most studies – regardless of how solid the evidence – more research is needed to validate these findings. However, the results of the study are more than promising, and thousands of patients have already found success in using cannabis skin creams to treat a wide number of conditions; the science is now starting to catch up.
I have psoriasis and am very interested in your research of this new THC skin cream. Please send me more information about your progress. I am also willing to be a study subject for your tests and research.
I really hope to get a response to my message.
Will be very interesting to see what this research uncovers. It could potentially help millions of people around the world.
I have allergy on my both knee. I had this more than a year.I’m glad that I search this blog. See if could help me to this problem ..
