Marc Emery Released From Prison, to be Home Next Month

Marc Emery, the founder of Cannabis Culture who is often referred to as the Prince of Pot, was released from prison today, and is being sent to amarcemery detention center in Louisiana where he will be processed for deportation. He’s expected to be back home in Canada by the end of August.

Marc was extradited from Canada, to Seattle in May, 2010, where he pleaded guilty to the distribution of cannabis seeds to American customers; he was sentenced to five years.

During their press release of his arrest, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) made it clear that the arrest was politically charged, claiming that it’s “a significant blow” to the cannabis legalization movement, and that “Drug legalization lobbyists now have one less pot of money to rely on” – Marc is known for donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to efforts aimed at legalizing cannabis.

Marc, and his wife Jodie, plan a 30-day advocacy tour across Canada once he returns.

Scientific studies and research deserve so much respect. I am curious as to what is currently being taught in our medical schools. How will the new physicians relate to just plain flowers and buds. I support the nothing fancy rule here. Tinctures and dabs might be nice, but most people can not afford them. I would hope we can keep relgion out of thses studies as well because I think they have been influenced by negative propaganda. Keep it in the realm of science.
