Activists in Philadelphia Plan Indefinite Protest Calling for an End to Cannabis Prohibition

Philly NORML and The Panic Hour have announced that they will be holding an indefinite cannabis protest in Philadelphia beginning on July 26th.phillynormllogo Event organizers have previously held protests in support of legalizing cannabis, called Smoke Down Prohibition, but this is the first which is planned indefinitely, meaning it could continue for months.

The event will take place at Independence National Historic Park and will begin at 4:20pm.

According to the group’s press release, the event will continue as long as necessary, which could potentially mean until cannabis in legalized in the state; organizers are prepared to go weeks, or even months in order to continue their Occupy Wall Street-style protest.

“We ask you to join us and peacefully sit in at the Liberty Bell to stand up against cannabis prohibition”, stated organizers.
