D.C. Mayor Signs Measure Decriminalizing Cannabis
Washington D.C. Mayor Vince Gray has officially signed Council Bill 20-409, a measure to decriminalize the possession of up to an ounce of cannabis, reducing the charge from an arrestable misdemeanor to a simple $25 ticket. The proposal was approved by the D.C. Council earlier this month with only one councilmember voting in opposition.
The bill will now go through a 60-day congressional review period, where it’s unlikely the measure will be overturned. If it’s approved through this review, it will take effect on July 1st.
According to recent polling 75% of those in D.C. are in favor of this move towards decriminalization; 64% favor full legalization.

I don’t see why its not legalized for the entire country.Debts would b squared away in no time . I’m a Veteran and I served in the United States Army for 4 years with an Honorable Discharge. PTSD is no joke for us Vet’s, and Cannibus has helped me through the years to make me a better person and a happy person. If it was legalized all over u would see less crimes in the world, and less DWI’S. Marijuana is the only drug out there that will not kill u. But drinking causes more problems in this world than anything. Thanks for your time.
