It’s the Super Bowl cannabis activists were hoping for; the Denver Broncos Vs. the Seattle Seahawks. Both teams are representing states where recreational cannabis has been made legal.
The Seattle Seahawks won a close, hard-fought match, with the final score being 23 to 17. In 2012, Washington voters approved an initiative to legalize cannabis; in Seattle, well over 60% voted in favor.
The Denver Broncos beat the New England Patriots 26 to 16, in a game they were in control of from early on. In 2012 Colorado voters also approved an initiative to legalize cannabis; in Denver, recreational cannabis sales officially began on January 1st.
Super Bowl XLVII will take place on February 2nd.
