Amsterdam Allowing Possession of up to 5 Ecstasy Pills at Popular Music Festival
Amsterdam officials have announced that the possession of up to five ecstasy pills will be entirely legal for those participating in this week’s Amsterdam Dance Event, which is expected to have over 300,000 attendees.
The decisions comes after multiple nationwide reports warning of an extra-potent batch making its way around the city. Officials are hoping that allowing the possession of extra ecstasy pills (the possession of up to one pill is already generally allowed in the city) will promote further safety as people will have less fear of seeking help if they or someone they know is experiencing problems.
