Representative Administration; Restoring the People’s Trust

Management of the public’s money and arranging for the public’s comfort are the only purposes of democratic government.  There are two distinct functions to accomplish those tasks.  The first function is Representation of the People who Agreed to be Governed, the second is Administration of Services consequent of that Agreement.

Those were the distinguishing elements of American politics for the first hundred and fifty years or so of our nations’ history.  Then we became a nation managed by corporate formulas.  People interests got sidelined.   Politicians morphed into professional managers to maintain the perception all was well, don’t worry, your government is on the job.  They built a capitalistic society designed to idolize flawed principles.  We worshiped money.

As might be expected, money worship is running scared and blowing hard on the horn of fear.  Representative government is regaining the high ground of public opinion all around the world.  It’s not too late to refocus on the truly important functions of a civil worldwide society.  Government lost that focus and now WE must restore the public’s trust in fair representation, embellished with transparency in every function of government, without exception.

We must restore all proper liberties to all citizens, regardless of their education, job skills, or physical attributes if we want citizens to respect elected officials.  If Americans can still muster the tenacity of past generations and begin producing valuable goods or services, as perceived by those who need valuable goods or services; If we can keep the politicians and bureaucrats firmly in check through intelligent management practices, society will once again function with adequate comfort and trust for all.
