New Study Finds Cannabis Use Doesn’t Lower IQ in Children

A new study outcannabisjoint of the University College of London has found that consuming cannabis has no impact on a child’s IQ.

The study, which included 2,612 children, examined IQ scores at age 8, and again at 15. They found “no relationship between cannabis use and lower IQ at age 15,” even when other factors such as alcohol use, cigarette use and maternal education were taken into account. Researchers found that even heavy cannabis had no effect on a person’s IQ.
