New Poll Shows Florida Medical Cannabis Initiative Winning This November

A new Gravis Marketing poll of registered Florida voters has found that a strong majority are in favor offlorida Amendment 2, an initiative to legalize cannabis which will be voted on this November. The poll shows support at 64%, more than the 60% required to pass the initiative into law; it requires 60% rather than 50% as it’s a constitutional amendment.

According to the poll, only 26% of Florida voters oppose Amendment 2, with 10% undecided.

BALLOT SUMMARY: Allows the medical use of marijuana for individuals with debilitating diseases as determined by a licensed Florida physician. Allows caregivers to assist patients’ medical use of marijuana. The Department of Health shall register and regulate centers that produce and distribute marijuana for medical purposes and shall issue identification cards to patients and caregivers. Applies only to Florida law. Does not authorize violations of federal law or any non-medical use, possession or production of marijuana. Would you vote for or against the amendment?

Under Amendment 2 individuals who receive a recommendation from a physician will be authorized to possess and use up to 2.5 ounces of cannabis. State-licensed dispensaries will also be allowed, as a means of safe access to the medicine for patients.

    florida is a very progressive state, no wonder they are in this kind of consideration to legalize cannbis for medical reasons.

      I live in Florida…it is far from progressive…but we have a lot of residents that are smart and know the benefits!!
