New Study Finds Cannabis Combats Brain Degeneration and Increases Stamina

A new study conducted at the Institute of Molecular Psychiatry at the University of Bonn in Germany has found that cannabis triggers the release of antioxidants, which acts as a cleansing mechanism – resulting in the removal of damaged cells and improving the effchroniciency of mitochondria, the energy source that powers cells, potentially increasing stamina.

The study, published in Philosophical Transactions Of The Royal Society, states:Neuroinflammatory processes contributing to the progression of normal brain ageing and to the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases are suppressed by cannabinoids”. The findings show the benefits of the application of cannabinoids can be immense, especially for those suffering from degenerative conditions effecting the brain: “These discoveries shed new insight on how natural marijuana cannabinoids hold the capacity to literally kill the brain inflammation responsible for causing cognitive decline, neural failure, and brain degeneration. By supplying these receptor sites with cannabinoids, patients may be able to overcome brain conditions like Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, and more, not to mention premature brain aging”.

Gery Wenk, a professor of neuroscience, immunology and medical genetics at Ohio State University, who conducted some of the research during the study, said he was encouraged by the findings and the potential development of cannabinoid solutions. “I’ve been trying to find a drug that will reduce brain inflammation and restore cognitive function in rats for over 25 years; cannabinoids are the first and only class of drugs that have ever been effective. I think that the perception about this drug is changing and in the future people will be less fearful.”

This is a fact that cannabinoids are very effective in treating neurological diseases. The problem with our Government is they are not willing to go forth with effort to legalize the use of these plants due to the simple fact of taxation and gross revenue directly related to the outlaw of this plant. If they felt the Government could directly benefit off the legalization more than the criminalization at this point they would be all for it. They must find way to get their hands on the control of this plant and market it legally and the benefits be more lucrative than the illegal revenue it brings at this current place in time. Its only a matter of time in this day and age with the states and the voices of the people being heard that Cannabis is not the terrible street drug that its made out to be and its going to be legalized for not only medical use but for recreational use. In no way shape or form is cannabis more deadly or dangerous than alcohol and just as the lift of the prohibition on alcohol this will also be the case for cannabis. But for now the main focus and concern are the medical benefits that it has to offer and people will soon see the power this plant really has to change the lives of so many.

well previously so called experts have said that smoking cannabis actually causes diseases like alzimers or triggers similar sicknesses. I believe that cannabis can have healing properties but so much conflicting information, but i guess the people that say it is bad for you are of govt type etc. I would rather have a joint to help calm me than a pill, put it that way.
