New Scientific Research Suggests Cannabis May Combat Diabetes

A new study published by the journal Nutrition & Diabetes has found that tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV) – a compound of cannabis — may combat diabetes bycannabisisnotpot improving an individuals glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity.

Researchers studied THCV by administering it to obese mice; they found that the cannabis-compound contains several metabolically beneficial effects, which include (but are certainly not limited to) improved liver triglyceride levels, increased insulin sensitivity and increased glucose tolerance.

According to the study; “Based on these data, it can be suggested that THCV may be useful for the treatment of the metabolic syndrome and/or type 2 diabetes (adult onset diabetes), either alone or in combination with existing treatments.”

This research comes less than a month after a Harvard study was released in the American Journal of Medicine which found that cannabis consumers are better at controlling blood sugar.

Now all we have to do is get mainstream Doctors to accept it. I can’t even tell my Dr. I use Cannabis because she said she will drug test me. Then I would lose access to painkillers. They won’t consider that Cannabis helps.
